Welcome to District 29 and to the Board of Education website. On behalf of my fellow board members, I would like thank the Northfield community for the opportunity to serve this wonderful school district. Our schools are a vital part of our community and the children within them are our very precious assets.

Whether you are a parent, a community member, or a visitor to our website, I invite you to take a look at our strategic plan. The District has enthusiastically embarked upon a three-year plan that will enhance the educational experience for all members of our learning community. The plan is a result of a collaborative effort among parents, board members, teachers, the administration, and the community. While the plan is our roadmap, it is very much a work in process and we invite your comments and participation along the way. The community is always welcome to attend our board meetings, and we hope you will take advantage of upcoming opportunities to provide input during the 2009-2010 school year.

District 29 is a place to be treasured. We enjoy highly talented teachers and an exceptionally dedicated administration within a safe, lovely community. Our educational outcomes remain outstanding. The Board of Education is grateful for your support and will work to preserve a commitment to excellence on behalf of our children.
